WASHINGTON, D.C. – Deputy Chief of Mission Felipe Cariño and Commercial Counsellor Benedict M. Uy represented the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. at the 17th Annual Asian American Business Summit, organized by the Asian American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) at Crystal View in Fairfax, Virginia.

The Embassy’s participation in the business summit underscored its support for organizations such as the AACC that help strengthen Asian enterprises, including Filipino-led businesses, and provide platforms for entrepreneurs and business leaders to exchange views, build networks, and explore new opportunities. Founded in 2009, the Asian American Chamber of Commerce serves the greater Washington region and brings together businesses, government agencies, corporations, nonprofits, and community partners through advocacy, strategic partnerships, education, and economic opportunities.

During the event, DCM Cariño and Commercial Counsellor Uy conveyed the Embassy’s interest in pursuing stronger collaboration with the Chamber, including in promoting business and investment linkages between its members and the Philippines. They highlighted opportunities for companies seeking to expand into the Philippine market and, more broadly, to tap the country’s position within the dynamic ASEAN region.
